A brief description of the U.S. legal system
(1) The United States is a federal state, has a complex legal system, distributed in federal laws and regulations and state regulations.
(2) The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC): Established by Congress in 1972, ensures the safety of consumer goods through education, safety standards and regulation.
Childrens Goods Regulations Standards and Definitions
1) The definition of:
Childrens goods: consumer goods primarily designed for children aged 12 and below.
Toys for children: consumer goods for children under 12 years of age to play.
Childrens care products: children aged 3 years and younger are used to assist their sleep, feeding, etc.
(2) The main regulatory standards:
There are six laws related to children’s goods, including the Consumer Goods Safety Act and the Consumer Goods Safety Improvement Act.
These laws set safety, environmental and health standards for products, in part related to children’s products.
For specific commodities, the CPSC and the Food and Drug Administration have developed specific technical regulations and standards.

The certification cycle is 5-7 working days.
(2) The content of the CPC certificate:
Product information, applicable regulations, manufacturer and importer information, testing information, third-party testing agency information.
(3) The use of certificates:
According to the Consumer Product Safety Act, all manufacturers and traders of childrens products that are regulated by the Childrens Product Safety Regulations must issue a CPC certificate.
CPC certificates must be available to all distributors or retailers and available to CPSC when needed.
Electronic certification is optional.
